Our Story
Taking the #1 spot in the NYS Fair Food Hall of Fame and heralded as an essential eatable, the Villa Pizze Fritte is a local legend. Any Syracuse native will tell you that even a whiff of that unmistakable aroma has the power to draw crowds of hundreds almost instantly. Before achieving celebrity status, Pizze Fritte had humble beginnings.
The Villa Pizze Fritte started with one delicious fried dough recipe–the very same that Pizze Fritte fans know and love today–and one family committed to sensational desserts– the Zazzaras. More than 60 years later, the business continues to be family owned and operated, passed down through three generations of Zazzaras.
